News from ice caves in US

Volume 79, Number 3 of the "Journal of Cave and Karst Studies" has just been posted online with a wonderful issue entirely dedicated to the ongoing study of glacier and ice caves, expecially in the United States.

This issue is an amazing body of Dr. Andreas Pflitsch's work including studies in Europe, Hawaii, Alaska, and across the lower US.

His current work in the Central Oregon Ice caves hasn't been studied enough years to have data to present at this time, but there is a comprehensive and interesting article on the glacier caves on Mt. Hood.

As cover for the journal a shot from Pure Imagination Cave on the Sandy Glacier, Mt. Hood, has been used.
