The FROZEN cave, a potentially new study area
Finally we visited the recently found (2016) Frozen cave, intensively explored by a group of italian cavers, few of them from the Eugenio Boegan Cave Commission.
Rumors about the huge ice deposit they saw inside a over 100 m deep shaft led us to go and see with our eyes. The entrance is characterized by a 15 to 20 m long narrow meander that leads directly to the main cave and the thick ice deposits.
The potential for equipping the cavern for a medium-long term monitoring is very high and we'll keep you updated in the next visit to this amazing cave. Is important and worth remembering the 2 discoverers of this cave, Lorenzo Slama and Rocco Romano.
Stay tuned and enjoy with few pictures!!!
