GLACIOLOGY (past, present and future)

The course aims at giving a current review of modern research into processes and dynamics of the global cryosphere and their connections with climate

Course description.

Learn about glaciers and ice caps, permafrost and periglacial environment and their evolution under climate change on Earth's past, present and future. The response of glaciers to climate change and the challenges of predicting future directions in glacier mass balance and dynamics, represents an insight of the course

Topic arguments

Climatology, glacier systems, glacier mass balance, periglacial environment and permafrost
