I owned my glaciological and periglacial skills at UNIS (University center in Svalbard) during my PhD.

I took part in 2 Antarctic expedition (2014-15 and 2015-16) working at the British Antarctic Survey base of Signy Island in the frame of the italian National Antarctic Survey (PNRA).

Since summer of 2022 I took part in a few short expeditions to Greenland (Disko Island, Aqqutikitsok mountains, Sisimiut) working in cooperation together with the Geological Survey of Denmark end Grrenland and the Denmark Technical University, as well as implementing the project LOGS - Local Glaciers Sissimiut.

The project LOGS I'm now leading aims at increasing data coverage of local and peripheral glaciers (i.e. disconnected from the Greenland Ice Sheet), particularly in the Aqqutikisoq-Sisimiut area. In this regard, LOGS will set a detailed monitoring of the Aqqutikitsoq glacier area, near Sisimiut. This will be done especially to constrain the past and future evolution of the cryosphere in this area, under projected global warming scenario, and trying to answer several issues.
